At a typical service at First Baptist Church, you will find an atmosphere of unity in worship centered around the Word of God. We begin by singing songs and hymns of the faith as well as newer conservative music from Publishers like The Wilds Music, Soundforth, and Majesty Music. Following worship in song and in giving, we give the largest place to the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Paul told Timothy, "...til I come, give attendence to the reading, the exhortation, and to the doctrine." These all center around the Word of God.
With prominence given to the Bible and music that honors the Lord Jesus Christ, you can be sure that God will be glorified at First Baptist Church.
The Bible is God's Word. The more opportunities we have to hear God's Word, the more opportunities we have to learn to be like Him.
Jesus said, "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." If we are to have the abundant, spirit-filled life that Jesus promises, we must be filled with His Word. Paul intimated that the "filling of the Spirit" was "letting the word of Christ dwell in you richly." (See Ephesians 5:18-21 and Colossians 3:16-17)
Wednesday night is a time for the church family to meet together in the middle of our busy week. We talk about our Missionaries, hear a short challenge, and pray together in corporate worship, as the church did in Acts 4.
During our prayer time, we pray for one another's burdens and our missionaries, and we ask God to send revival to our church and to Park Rapids, MN. We meet at 7:00pm
