What is Sunday School like?

Sunday School is not just for little ones! It's important for children to learn the Bible stories in Sunday School, but we have an adult class as well, where we have studied important topics and done Bible studies. It is a time for asking questions and hearing from other believers. We'd love for you to come and join us an hour earlier than the morning service!

Worship Services

What are your worship services like on Sunday Morning?

At a typical service at First Baptist Church, you will find an atmosphere of unity in worship centered around the Word of God.  We begin by singing songs and hymns of the faith as well as newer conservative music from Publishers like The Wilds Music, Soundforth, and Majesty Music.  Following worship in song and in giving, we give the largest place to the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.  Paul told Timothy, "...til I come, give attendence to the reading, the exhortation, and to the doctrine."  These all center around the Word of God.

With prominence given to the Bible and music that honors the Lord Jesus Christ, you can be sure that God will be glorified at First Baptist Church.

Why do you have Sunday Night services too?

1. We love the Word of God. Any more opportunities to hear it preached and read, the better.

2. Some people can't make it on Sunday morning, and so this gives them a chance to still come to church.

3. Our Sunday night services are a different service than the morning service. There we offer time for giving testimonies of God's goodness or even asking questions. From time to time we have some Bible trivia games as well.

4. We don't NEED to have church on Sunday nights, but love the service. The BIble doesn't command meeting twice every Sunday, but we still like to. You might, too!

What happens on Wednesday Nights?

Wednesday night is a time for the church family to meet together in the middle of our busy week. We talk about our Missionaries, hear a short challenge, and pray together in corporate worship, as the church did in Acts 4.

During our prayer time, we pray for one another's burdens and our missionaries, and we ask God to send revival to our church and to Park Rapids, MN. We meet at 6:00pm
