I'm Finished Hearing About This!

In Christ Alone...

Jesus Christ was God in human flesh. He came to this Earth and lived His life perfectly, not sinning once.

Jesus has the "Innocent" verdict you need.

1 John 3:5 says "And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin." Jesus never sinned, and so was innocent before God. But Jesus died on the cross to offer us the chance at having our sins forgiven.

How does it work?

2 Corinthians 5:21 says this: "For He [God] hath made Him [Jesus] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." Galatians 3:13 says "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us." The truth of the Bible is that Jesus was put on the cross to suffer the wrath of God.

Why would Jesus suffer God's wrath?

Jesus suffered God's wrath so that you didn't have to. Jesus' innocence and perfection can be for you, and your guilt can be for Jesus. Without the death of Jesus, there is no other hope for innocence before God. John 3:36 says "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

How can you get that eternal life?

The Bible says that you must "believe on Jesus" to have your sins forgiven. This is a free gift that God provides, at the expense of Jesus Christ. He says this in Romans 6:23 "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Eternal life is not and cannot be earned, it must be received as a gift. If you are trying to work your way to heaven, stop your efforts and trust the efforts of Christ.

How do I do that?

The Bible says that you must first admit that you are a sinner deserving Hell. When you admit you are a sinner, you are "confessing" to God that you cannot save yourself. 1 John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

The Bible says that you must second trust that what Jesus did, he did for you. "Jesus died for you" means that He died on your behalf and in your place. Do you believe that? Will you place your eternal destiny in Him alone? Will you turn from your own efforts and trust Him alone? Acts 4:12 says, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
